AI Business Coach in Reigate: Coaching, Consulting or Installing?
A shopkeeper on Church Street who asks for an AI business coach may really want one of three different things. Here is how to tell which, and what Dean Keating offers.
If you want an AI business coach in Reigate, be clear first on whether you want teaching or the work done: Dean Keating of Horndean, Hampshire, does not run a course or coaching programme, he builds and installs AI agents for small businesses and supports them. He also publishes this site, so treat this as our own offer. Phone or WhatsApp 07418 627304.
Picture the owner of an independent shop in the old part of the town. Business is steady. A customer messages on a Sunday asking whether something is in stock, and the reply goes out on Tuesday. The owner has heard AI could fix that and types "AI business coach" into a search box. What they hope for varies a lot.
Three different jobs hiding in one phrase
Coaching means someone helps you learn and decide. You do the work; they sharpen your thinking. Sessions, homework, accountability.
Consulting means someone tells you what to do. You get a view and a plan, and then you carry it out or hire someone who will.
Installing means someone builds the thing and puts it where you work. You do not learn to build it. You get it running and learn to use it.
None of these is better. They suit different people. A person who enjoys tinkering and has the evenings for it may do well with coaching. A person with a queue of customers and no spare hours usually wants the third.
Where Dean Keating sits
He is firmly in the third group. His website describes a done-for-you service: he builds AI agents, installs them in the tools the business already uses, trains your team to work alongside them and supports it. It is not a course. It is not phone answering. It is not a chatbot product you subscribe to.
That said, you do get something from the first conversation. It is a free call, and you leave with a plan you can use with or without him. If what you wanted was direction, that call may be all you need. If you want it done, the next steps are an audit of the work worth automating, the build and install, and then training and support.
A test before you spend anything
Write down the three tasks that eat most of your week and are mostly repetition: answering the same question, chasing the same unpaid invoice, copying details from one place to another. Then ask any coach or consultant which of them they would tackle first and who does the actual work. A good answer is specific. A vague one is a warning.
Being straight about location
He is based in Horndean, Hampshire, and works with Reigate and Surrey firms remotely. His website says he can visit businesses in Hampshire or nearby in person, but do not assume that covers you. If you would learn better face to face, a coach based in your own town may suit you better, and it is worth speaking to one.
